I have been working on a series of images of an abandoned building in the woods near where I live. I posted a couple of these images back in April here. The first picture below is a similar image to those two but closer in. I have been intrigued with the presence of the shadows of these buildings looming behind the overgrowth. They represent a mysterious, possibly disturbing presence. Perhaps the rational being overtaken by the irrational. I haven’t completely worked out what they are about, but it heads in that direction. Today it occurred to me that it might be interesting to go inside the building, which is largely intact, and shoot the forest from within it. The second two pictures are the results of that idea.
